This is what Mehmet. He said ‘I like the market. I love styling hair. I like to help people, by making them happy, by giving them a good haircut. I am from Turkey, but London is home. I have been here 16 years. I love London, there are people from all over the World. I only miss the weather.’
Mehmet said he likes his job and cares for his friends while cutting hair.

This is the road cleaner who cares for the environment by cleaning the streets.
Ahmed: I’m cleaning. I like cleaning. I am helping the community by cleaning. I am from Bangladesh. I have been here two or three years. I like it. My mum and Dad live here and I have a kid. There is too much traffic.

I like my job as I see people in the community. It’s a mixed place which I like. There should be less traffic and more community projects that bring people together. I think we need more people and more care in the community.

‘I was born in Bethnal Green. I like Tower Hamlets, there are people from all over the World, lots of different cultures, that’s what I like. I have neighbours from Algeria, Bangladesh, Morocco and we all share food together. There’s also a big market. I think there should be more youth clubs, when I was younger there were more clubs. More football clubs, I support Liverpool/ There should also be more street lighting so people feel safe.’
