Street Cleaners: Cecil and Winston

Their job is important because if they weren’t there, the whole community would be a lot dirtier. We took this photo close to our school in a huge tower block. They were sitting inside a room drinking tea and making jokes. Lucien, Year 3. Lucien: Do you enjoy your job? Winston and Cecil: It’s survival. We do it for others; for the elders, for disabled people, for you, the future generations. It’s an important job that has been passed down from generation to generation.
